Ramps: distinguish percent slope from angle

Record rise, horizontal run and vehicle data separately.

01 / Input example

Example: a 600 mm rise over a 4,000 mm horizontal run has a 15% slope. Its angle is arctan(0.15), approximately 8.53°, not 15°.

02 / Check assumptions

A three-segment ramp includes slope transitions. Scraping checks need vehicle wheelbase, ground clearance and front/rear overhang data.

03 / Scope of use

Slope alone cannot establish safe usability. Drainage, grip, width, vehicle path and local requirements also matter.

04 / Keep in mind

Parking Ramp is part of ArchStair. The central website does not validate its current scraping-check algorithms.

Tool introductions do not validate algorithms or certify regulatory compliance. Guides are practical examples; design and construction decisions require checks against project documents, applicable rules and qualified professional judgement.
